The eye is composed of extraordinarily sensitive tissues, and each component plays a role in preserving normal vision. The cornea covers the iris, pupil, and anterior chamber in the front of the eye. Light is refracted by the cornea, anterior chamber, and lens, which together produce around two-thirds of the eye's total optical power. The cornea, however, can be harmed by a variety of conditions, including corneal ulceration, epithelial keratitis, drug-induced epithelial keratitiscorneal regeneration, recurrent corneal erosion, and other corneal illnesses.
