Congenital cataracts

Congenital cataracts, clouding of the eye's lens from birth or infancy, can impair vision. Causes include genetics, maternal infections, or metabolic disorders. Early detection is key for proper visual development. Treatment involves surgical removal and sometimes lens implantation. With timely care, affected children can often achieve good vision and lead fulfilling lives.
